PSA: This banner features a free x11 pull, make sure to grab it!

Hello again everyone, Kenthos here! I’m back with another “Should You Pull” analysis. Just like last time, I feel like new players could use some guidance on pulling for new banners since there are a lot of skippable banners going around these days, I also hope to bring the community together to discuss new banners when they are released.

Please do keep in mind that this review is SUBJECTIVE and based solely on MY OPINION, this is by no means a guide you must follow, feel free to agree/disagree and share your own opinion/review since the primarily goal of this is to discuss upcoming banners with the community.

Today I’m gonna give a brief review on both new units:

  • [Relaxing on the Waters] Silica
  • [Flying with the Breeze] Lisbeth

[Relaxing on the Waters] Silica

Element – Water
Weapon
– Dagger
Kit
– [B] [A] [E]

Magic Attack: 2290
She has the sixth highest magic attack in the game, compared against the leader, Cardinal (wind, 2340 magic attack), that’s a very good magic attack stat. As far as her water competitors are concerned, she’s leading against both ALO Asuna (2240) and PJ Silica (2240). In conclusion, she’s the hardest water magic damage dealer available so far.

Speed: 309
An average speed-stat, being outsped by 19 other characters and tied at 309 with IK Eugeo (wind), as far as water goes, she loses only to ALO Asuna (water, 315 speed). Could be higher but still it’s not a bad speed stat.

First Skill: Skill Connect Aqueous Burst B+ Lv. 2
Magic attack (strong) on all enemies. Inflicts Water Continuous Damage for 3 turns. Incarnate Break 50.00%. An AoE break skill that also inflicts the trendy continuous damage (DoT), which means it’s better than the regular break.

Second Skill: Skill Connect Aqueous Stream A+ Lv. 2
Magic attack (extra strong) on single enemy. Deals added damage on enemies inflicted with Continuous Damage. The usual extra strong single target assault, but this time buffed by the trendy higher damage on enemies inflicted with continuous damage (DoT), which means that it’s better than the regular assault. If you keep in mind her high magic attack stat, she’s gonna deal very good damage.

Third Skill: Quick & Focus
Raises MATK of all allies by 15% for 2 turns. Short wait time after using skill. This is our first water MATK booster and it comes with the 15%/short wait time mechanic. The 5% you lose vs. the original 20% buff is worth if that enables the character to participate in a 4-man incarnate combo due to the short wait time. Depending on the team composition, this buff can be even more valuable than the original one, due to the above-mentioned mechanic.

Incarnate Skill: Dual Hydraulic Lv. 2
Incarnate Magic attack on all enemies. Additional Magic Attack on single enemy. Inflicts Water Continuous Damage on enemy hit with additional attack for 3 turns. This is a very complete offensive incarnate skill, it hits all enemies once, has an additional single target attack on the main target and also applies DoT to it. It has the exact same incarnate skill mechanic of the recently released Maiden Alice’s (light). Considering this unit high magic attack stat, it’s gonna deal massive damage.

When should you consider pulling for [Relaxing on the Waters] Silica?

  • If you lack breakers, she has a nice break that benefits from DoT.
  • If you lack water characters or need a good water magic damage dealer.
  • If you want to rank well vs. fire enemies on Ranking Events, she will surely be an useful character in mono-water teams, specially considering she is the first water magic unit that buffs MATK of all allies.
  • If you really like the character, likes to collect all units or Silica, specifically.

Should I pull?

In my opinion, the new [Relaxing on the Waters] Silica is an amazing water character and also the best magic water damage dealer released so far. She has the sixth best magic attack stat in the game (the highest one compared vs. other water magical attackers) coupled with a kit that benefits from DoT which is a very common skill these days, which means that you will probably utilize her full potential a lot of the time (she can even apply continuous damage herself, using her [B] skill). As always, analyze your current roster and ask yourself, do you need more water damage dealers or are you OK with what you have? How about the MATK buff department, do you have good options? Generally speaking, this unit is worth pulling for. But keep in mind that the sixth month anniversary (unconfirmed) might be coming soon and it would be wise to save diamond cubes for that. I’d also like to mention that in my opinion she’s the best unit featured in this banner.

[Flying with the Breeze] Lisbeth

Element: Wind
Weapon: Mace
Kit: [C] [A] [H]

Magic Attack: 2320
She has the second highest magic attack in the game, falling only behind her fellow wind competitor, Cardinal (2340). In conclusion, she has a very good MATK and will most likely dish out a lot of magic damage.

Speed: 305
A slightly below average speed stat, being outsped by 27 characters and tying with Sunbeams Alice (earth) and Page Tiese (light) which also have 305. She could definitely use a higher speed stat since hers is not good judging by today’s standards.

First Skill: Skill Connect Aerial Cutter C+ Lv. 2
Magic attack (medium) on single enemy. Lowers Magic Res. by 20% for 2 turns. Incarnate Charge 20.00%. In terms of charge skills, this is the best format we currently have available. You charge and lower your enemy’s resistance at the same time, it’s a very good skill.

Second Skill: Aerial Tempest A+ Lv. 2
Magic attack (extra strong) on all enemies. Lowers enemy’s Incarnate Break by 50% for 2 turns. An extra strong AoE magic attack with a bonus: this skill is confusing for some people, so pay attention: “Lowers enemy’s Incarnate Break by 50% for 2 turns”: what this means is that you will cut your opponent’s break capabilities in half, if his attack would break 100% of your incarnate, it will break 50% instead. It’s a very niche skill as of now, maybe it will be more important as the game evolves, but for now it doesn’t have many uses. Page Tiese (light) also has this mechanic on her [C].

Third Skill: Quick & Recover Stun
Recovers HP (weak) of all allies. Recovers Stun. Short wait time after using skill. Pretty simple skill, you heal and cleanse your stunned units from that condition. It’s also a situational skill that might be useful sometimes.

Incarnate Skill: Rage Downburst Lv. 2
Incarnate Magic attack on single enemy. Lowers Magic Res. by 10% for 1 turn. A very simple single target magic incarnate skill. Considering [Flying with the Breeze] Lisbeth’s very high MATK, this will definitely hit very hard and can set up a nice combo with the 10% magic resistance reduction.

When should you consider pulling for [Flying with the Breeze] Lisbeth?

  • If you lack chargers, she has a nice one that also lowers the magic resistance of the enemy.
  • If you lack wind characters.
  • If you want to rank well vs. earth enemies on Ranking Events, she will surely be an useful character in mono-wind teams, specially on teams composed only by magic units.
  • If you really like the character, likes to collect all units or Silica, specifically.

Should I pull?

In my opinion, even though [Flying with the Breeze] Lisbeth loses to her banner counterpart, [Relaxing on the Waters] Silica, she still can be a valuable asset to your mono-wind teams, specially those composed only by magic units, but that doesn’t make her a must-have character. Would she be useful? Most certainly yes, but I’d think wisely about going all-in for this character because the sixth month anniversary (unconfirmed) might be coming soon and it would be wise to save diamond cubes for that. Also keep in mind that as of now, Maces are very scarce and you’d need to get lucky on her weapon banner as well in order to improve her utility/damage.

What about the discounted pulls? (Pick Up Scouts)

This is very subjective and varies from person to person since it all depends on your luck, but if you feel like gambling, getting any 4* character for 125 diamond cubes is a very good deal, so one might say it’s very advantageous to try your luck here. But do keep in mind that going all-in in very good banners costs roughly 1125 cubes to get to step 5 (guaranteed 4*), so saving for those is the “safest” option.

Any advice regarding weapon banners?

In my opinion, discounted weapon banners are 100% worth gambling on, every single time. They cost only 75 diamond cubes and even if you don’t get any of the featured weapons, if you manage to get any 4* weapon at all, it is worth for the price. Definitely recommend trying your luck on them.

Final thoughts

Generally speaking, this is an interesting banner but I wouldn’t pull in it focusing on [Flying with the Breeze] Lisbeth. On the other hand, [Relaxing on the Waters] Silica is an amazing water character and I’d advise saving for her pick up scout if you intend on pulling on anything extra after the free x11 pull. Like I’ve already mentioned twice in this analysis, we might have a 6 month anniversary event on May 20th (unconfirmed), and saving for this kind of occasions is recommended, so think twice before spending all your diamonds on this banner. As always, I’d like to emphasize that this is my personal opinion. Best of luck in your pulls and see y’all in the next banner!
