PSA: This banner features a free x11 pull, make sure to grab it!

Hello again everyone, Kenthos here! I’m back with another “Should You Pull” analysis. I’m going to start posting a lot more content from now on along with the Should You Pull posts you’re all familiar with, including video reviews and several other kinds of SAOARS content, so stay tuned! Now back to the analysis, this time we’re having the long-awaited 6 month anniversary scout!

Please do keep in mind that this review is SUBJECTIVE and based solely on MY OPINION, this is by no means a guide you must follow, feel free to agree/disagree and share your own opinion/review since the primarily goal of this is to discuss upcoming banners with the community.

Today I’m gonna give a brief review on both new units:

  • [Lightning Flash] Suguha
  • [Only what I can do] Sinon

[Lightning Flash] Suguha

Element – Non-Elemental
Weapon
– Sword
Kit
– [B] [A] [A]

Attack: 2100
Unfortunately, the best girl OS Suguha comes with a very underwhelming attack stat, losing to other four non-elemental units: OS Sinon (2310), Bercouli (2304), GGO Sinon (2300) and SL Kirito (2120).

Speed: 320
On the contrary of the attack stat, Suguha has the best speed in game, tied with other six characters: OS Asuna (dark), Fizel (earth), Renly (wind), Flowers Ronie (earth), LM Alice (light) and her banner counterpart, OS Sinon (non-elemental).

First Skill: Skill Connect Back Rush B+ Lv. 2
Slash attack (strong) on single enemy. Lowers MATK by 10% for 1 turn. Incarnate Break 50.00%. Standard break with a simple 10% MATK reduction for 1 turn, nothing special here.

Second Skill: Screw Slash A+ Lv. 2
Slash attack (extra strong) on single enemy. Deals added damage on enemies inflicted with Continuous Damage. An extra strong ST (single target) attack that deals more damage against enemies inflicted with DoT, seems to be common these days but we didn’t have this mechanic on non-elemental characters yet, so, it’s a plus since DoT is very common now.

Third Skill: Clear Serenity A+
Slash attack (strong) on a single enemy. Inflicts Non-Elemental Continuous Damage for 2 turns. Short wait time after using skill. A strong ST (single target) attack that inflicts DoT, the best part here is the short wait time after using the skill, because it can be useful in certain strategies.

Incarnate Skill: Closing Moment Lv. 2
Incarnate Slash attack on single enemy. Deals added damage on enemies inflicted with Continuous Damage. A very simple incarnate skill that deals increased damage if the target is inflicted with DoT, another simple skill with a common mechanic.

When should you consider pulling for  [Lightning Flash] Suguha?

  • If you lack breakers, even though there are a lot of better options.
  • If you lack non-elemental characters, she has good synergy with them.
  • If you want to rank well vs. non-elemental enemies on Ranking Events, the more non-elemental characters you have, the merrier.
  • If you really like the character, likes to collect all units or Suguha, specifically.

Should I pull?

In my opinion, OS Suguha is unfortunately very underwhelming when compared against characters with similar characteristics. If you really want her, keep in mind that there are a lot of other options that perform better than she does in the same role. I wouldn’t recommend pulling for her unless you really want the character for collection purposes or severely lack non-elemental characters.

[Only what I can do] Sinon

Element: Non-Elemental
Weapon: Gun
Kit: [C] [A] [A]

Attack: 2312
She has the second highest attack stat in the game, falling only behind Iskahn (2320, fire). Against non-elemental characters, she reigns supreme against the runner-up, Bercouli (2304). An amazing attack stat, coupled with a 4* weapon she’s gonna deal a lot of damage.

Speed: 320
Same as OS Suguha, she has the best speed in game, tied with other six characters: OS Asuna (dark), Fizel (earth), Renly (wind), Flowers Ronie (earth), LM Alice (light) and her banner counterpart, OS Suguha (non-elemental).

First Skill: Plasma Shot C+ Lv. 2
Blunt attack (medium) on single enemy. Lowers ATK by 10% for 1 turn. Incarnate Charge 20.00%. Standard charge with a simple 10% ATK reduction for 1 turn, nothing special here.

Second Skill: Pierce Ray A+ Lv. 2
Blunt attack (extra strong) on single enemy. Deals added damage on enemies inflicted with Continuous Damage. Incarnate Charge 10.00%. An extra strong ST (single target) attack that deals more damage against enemies inflicted with DoT and also charges your incarnate by 10%. In OS Sinon’s case, that’s a pretty good skill because it has a lot of things going and she has an amazing attack stat.

Third Skill: Rapid Fire A+
Blunt attack (strong) on a single enemy. Inflicts Non-Elemental Continuous Damage for 2 turns. Short wait time after using skill. A strong ST (single target) attack that inflicts DoT, the best part here is the short wait time after using the skill, because it can be useful in certain strategies.

Incarnate Skill: Photon Blast Lv. 2
Incarnate Blunt attack on single enemy. Inflicts Non-Elemental Continuous Damage for 3 turns. A pretty simple incarnate skill, but considering OS Sinon’s offensive capabilities, it’s gonna deal a lot of damage, applying DoT is a plus.

When should you consider pulling for [Only what I can do] Sinon?

  • If you lack chargers, she can be used as an universal one because she’s a non-elemental character and therefore, has no weaknesses.
  • If you lack non-elemental characters.
  • If you want to rank well vs. non-elemental enemies on Ranking Events, she will surely be an useful character against them considering the whole lot of damage output she has.
  • If you really like the character, likes to collect all units or Sinon, specifically.

Should I pull?

In my opinion, OS Sinon is the clear winner of this banner and a direct improvement of her previous version (GGO Sinon). When you compare both, she has more attack (2312 vs. 2300) and is a lot faster (320 vs. 296). If you lack non-elemental characters or universal damage dealers, I’d say OG Sinon is a safe bet and worth pulling for.

What about the discounted pulls? (Pick Up Scouts)

This is very subjective and varies from person to person since it all depends on your luck, but if you feel like gambling, getting any 4* character for 125 diamond cubes is a very good deal, so one might say it’s very advantageous to try your luck here. But do keep in mind that going all-in in very good banners costs roughly 1125 cubes to get to step 5 (guaranteed 4*), so saving for those is the “safest” option.

Any advice regarding weapon banners?

In my opinion, discounted weapon banners are 100% worth gambling on, every single time. They cost only 75 diamond cubes and even if you don’t get any of the featured weapons, if you manage to get any 4* weapon at all, it is worth for the price. Definitely recommend trying your luck on them.

Final thoughts

This banner has a lot of things that must be taken in consideration. First of all, the units: OS Suguha is underwhelming but OS Sinon is surprisingly good. The catch here is that being a 6 month anniversary banner, the 4* summoning rates are higher than they usually are on regular banners, and that will surely be handy in terms of obtaining  dupes (more elemental crystals) and the newly introduced Imaginariums, which can also be obtained that way. Overall, if you lack non-elemental characters, I’d definitely recommend pulling on this banner. But if you don’t, you must analyze your current diamond cube situation. If you’re swimming in these, this is a very good opportunity to obtain not only the featured characters, but the above-mentioned dupes for crystals and imaginariums. But if you don’t, analyze the pros and cons, don’t get tempted, tread cautiously and pull only if you’re certain that the benefits are too good to pass. As always, good luck in your pulls and see y’all next time!
