PSA: This banner features a free x11 pull, make sure to grab it!

Hello again everyone, Kenthos here! I’m back with another “Should You Pull” analysis! By the way, YouTube videos are finally coming soon, stay tuned for news.

Now back to today’s review, this banner features two new Wind-elemental units and both of them are very interesting ones.

Please do keep in mind that this review is SUBJECTIVE and based solely on MY OPINION, this is by no means a guide you must follow, feel free to agree/disagree and share your own opinion/review since the primarily goal of this is to discuss upcoming banners with the community.

Today I’m gonna give a brief review on both new units:

  • [Breezy Smile] Eugeo
  • [Quivering Love] Tiese

[Breezy Smile] Eugeo

Element – Wind
Weapon
– Sword
Kit
– [C] [A] [D]

Attack: 2270

[Breezy Smile] Eugeo has the second highest attack stat among Wind-elemental units, losing only to [Wind of the Ice Field] Eugeo (2296) and with a very large advantage compared to the 3rd place, [Merciless Magic Swordsman] Leafa (2080). For comparison purposes, the character with the highest attack stat in the game at the moment is [Searing Tenacity] Iskahn (2320 & Fire). In conclusion, [Breezy Smile] Eugeo has an above average attack stat and is a very capable damage dealer.

Speed: 317

Together with his banner counterpart, [Breezy Smile] Eugeo has the second highest speed stat among Wind-elemental units, losing only to [Winged Knight] Renly (320) and slightly ahead [Merciless Magic Swordsman] Leafa (316). For comparison purposes, the characters with the highest speed stat in the game at the moment are [Think of Me] Asuna (321 & Dark) and [Together with Friends] Yuuki (321 & Dark). In conclusion, [Breezy Smile] Eugeo has an above average speed stat and can be considered a fast character.

Skill Connect Steep Slant C+ Lv. 2
Slash attack (strong) on single enemy. Lowers Physical Res. by 20% for 1 turn. Incarnate Charge 20.00%. In my opinion this is the best [C] skill format available. You charge your incarnate by 20% and also lower your enemies’ physical resistance by 20% for one turn at the same time, increasing the damage potential of the rest of your team’s characters.

Vorpal Destruction A+ Lv. 2
Slash attack (extra strong) on single enemy. Deals additional damage on enemies inflicted with a Physical Res. or Magic Res. debuff. This assault makes use of the new mechanic that enhances your skills against resistance-debuffed enemies, considering [Breezy Smile] Eugeo’s high ATK stat, it has some serious damage potential.

Quick & Feebler Earth
Lowers Physical Res. & Magic Res. for a single enemy by 10% for 1 turn. Also lowers DEF & MDEF by 10% for 2 turns when the enemy is Earth-elemental. Short wait time after using skill. As predicted in my previous Should You Pull analysis, we’re indeed seeing more of the latest introduced debuff mechanic and in my opinion that’s a good thing. This skill does not only lowers the enemy physical and magic resistance, but also lowers their DEF & MDEF for two turns (as long as they are Earth-elemental enemies). Considering it also has the short wait time gimmick, it’s a very solid debuff.

Blue Rose Sword of Blooming Life Lv. 2
Incarnate Slash attack on all enemies. Additional Slash attack on single enemy. Absorbs HP from affected enemy & deals added damage on enemies inflicted with a Physical Res. or Magic Res. debuff. [Breezy Smile] Eugeo’s Incarnate has a lot going on: it attacks all enemies once, deals an additional hit on your selected target, has the mechanic that enhances its damage against resistance-debuffed enemies and also has a completely new mechanic: it absorbs HP from your target. This is our very first skill that has lifesteal in it and I hope to see more of that! Overall a very good and interesting Incarnate skill.

When should you consider pulling for  [Breezy Smile] Eugeo?

  • If you lack Wind-elemental characters, he’s for sure among the top ones currently available and you won’t regret getting him.
  • If you lack chargers, he’s a very good one. Especially if you use him on a physical damage based team.
  • If you want to rank well vs. Earth-elemental enemies on Ranking Events, he’s especially good against them.
  • If you really like the character, likes to collect all units or Eugeo, specifically.

Should I pull?

In my opinion, [Breezy Smile] Eugeo is the best Wind-elemental charger currently available and the clear winner of this banner. He’s fast enough, has an awesome kit and his Incarnate Skill is amazing. Even though we’ll probably have new strong Wind-elemental characters when an Earth-elemental Ranking Event comes, I guarantee [Breezy Smile] Eugeo will be useful in there as well. Overall, I’d recommend pulling for this character since he’ll bring a lot to the table, especially if you lack Wind-elemental units.

[Quivering Love] Tiese

Element: Wind
Weapon: Rapier
Kit: [B] [A] [D]

Magic Attack: 2290

[Quivering Love] Tiese has the third highest magic attack stat among Wind-elemental units, losing to [Gale Order] Cardinal (2340) and [Flying with the Breeze] Lisbeth (2320), both which are also the units with the highest magic attack in the entire game, while [Quivering Love] Tiese occupies the 8th place. In conclusion, [Quivering Love] Tiese has an above average magic attack stat and you can expect a decent amount of damage coming from her, but nothing amazing.

Speed: 317

Together with her banner counterpart, [Quivering Love] Tiese has the second highest speed stat among Wind-elemental units, losing only to [Winged Knight] Renly (320) and slightly ahead [Merciless Magic Swordsman] Leafa (316). For comparison purposes, the characters with the highest speed stat in the game at the moment are [Think of Me] Asuna (321 & Dark) and [Together with Friends] Yuuki (321 & Dark). In conclusion, [Quivering Love] Tiese has an above average speed stat and can be considered a fast character.

Skill Connect Aerial Storm B+ Lv. 2
Magic attack (strong) on all enemies. Increases Incarnate Break when enemies are inflicted with a Physical Res. or Magic Res. debuff. Incarnate Break 50.00%. [Quivering Love] Tiese is the first unit to have a Break Skill that benefits from the new mechanic that enhances your skills against resistance-debuffed enemies, and in my opinion that’s very interesting and makes this skill a lot better than standard breaks.

Skill Connect Aerial Thrust A+ Lv. 2
Magic attack (extra strong) on single enemy. Inflicts Wind Continuous Damage for 3 turns. Now we’re back to a not so old mechanic, this extra strong single target assault applies Wind Continuous Damage, which a lot of previous units benefit from.

Quick & Feebler Earth
Lowers Physical Res. & Magic Res. for a single enemy by 10% for 1 turn. Also lowers DEF & MDEF by 10% for 2 turns when the enemy is Earth-elemental. Short wait time after using skill. The exact same [D] skill as her banner counterpart, [Breezy Smile] Eugeo. This skill does not only lowers the enemy physical and magic resistance, but also lowers their DEF & MDEF for two turns (as long as they are Earth-elemental enemies). Considering it also has the short wait time gimmick, it’s a very solid debuff.

Winds of Noble Justice Lv. 2
Lowers Physical Res. & Magic Res. for a single enemy by 10% for 1 turn. Also lowers DEF & MDEF by 10% for 2 turns when the enemy is Light-elemental. Short wait time after using skill. The exact same [D] skill as [Think of Me] Asuna, this skill does not only lowers the enemy physical and magic res, but also lowers their DEF & MDEF for two turns (as long as they are light-elemental enemies), considering it also has the short wait time gimmick, it’s a very solid debuff and I expect to see more of this kind of debuff on future units.

When should you consider pulling for [Quivering Love] Tiese?

  • If you lack Wind-elemental characters, she’s an interesting one.
  • If you lack breakers, she’s a very good one considering she has the mechanic that enhances your skills against resistance-debuffed enemies on her break.
  • If you want to rank well vs. Earth-elemental enemies on Ranking Events, she’s especially good against them.
  • If you really like the character, likes to collect all units or Tiese, specifically.

Should I pull?

In my opinion, while decent, [Quivering Love] Tiese doesn’t offer enough to justify pulling specifically for her, except if you really like her character or severely lack breakers. Her stats can be considered above average but while her kit is interesting, it doesn’t offer anything really out of the ordinary. In this particular case I’d save diamond cubes for the next Ranking Event banner. Overall, I’d not recommend pulling specifically for this character.

What about the discounted pulls? (Pick Up Scouts)

This is very subjective and varies from person to person since it all depends on your luck, but if you feel like gambling, getting any 4* character for 125 diamond cubes is a very good deal, so one might say it’s very advantageous to try your luck here. But do keep in mind that going all-in in very good banners costs roughly 1125 cubes to get to step 5 (guaranteed 4*), so saving for those is the “safest” option.

Any advice regarding weapon banners?

In my opinion, discounted weapon banners are 100% worth gambling on, every single time. They cost only 75 diamond cubes and even if you don’t get any of the featured weapons, if you manage to get any 4* weapon at all, it is worth for the price. Definitely recommend trying your luck on them.
Individual weapon banner analysis is something I’m aiming to work on, stay tuned for updates on this section.

Final thoughts

This banner is interesting especially because of [Breezy Smile] Eugeo. As you can see on his individual analysis, in my opinion he’s a very good character and you should try to get him if you have the means to, but on the other hand, this is not a Ranking Event banner, so think wisely if you want to spend your hard earned diamonds in it.

As always, analyze your current roster: if you’re lacking Wind-elemental units, this banner might be interesting for you, especially if you can get [Breezy Smile] Eugeo. If your Wind-elemental team is good, getting at least one of the featured units could be useful in the future because of their debuff skill (but not really necessary). Analyzing the units individually, I’d only recommend spending diamonds on [Breezy Smile] Eugeo’s Rate Up to maximize your chances of getting him, but either unit works if all you’re interested in is having a Wind-elemental version of the ”new” debuff.

That sums it up, we’re done for today! Good luck on your pulls and see y’all on the next post.
